The students do not have to fill out the practice tracker during Winter Break! The next Online Practice Tracker is due Monday, January 9th by noon for full credit. Click on the link at the top of this blog to get to the practice tracker form.
The RMS Sixth Grade Band has had a busy month! It started with our After-School Rehearsal/Funway party on December 1st! We shared our Winter Concert with the Fifth Grade Bands on December 5th! We performed at Yorktown Mall on December 14th! All performances were fantastic and the students did a terrific job of representing RMS at the mall!
It’s the November edition of Music Buffs Dining Out! Come enjoy the many pizza, pasta, salad, and dessert options (yum!) at CiCi’s Batavia on November 15th! Part of your bill will be donated to the Batavia Elementary/Middle School Music Buffs Organization!

The online practice journal is our new high-tech way of recording practice and preparation time. Instead of filling out a piece of paper, students will now fill out an online practice journal form. This will make it much easier for the teachers to see how the students are progressing. The students can now use the computer to fill out the form at home in a very quick and convenient way. The practice journal will be assessable to students Sunday-Thursday (24 hours) and Fridays until noon. Students can click the link below to go to this online practice journal. NOON on FRIDAY is the DUE DATE/TIME for each week. Students who do not have access to the Internet can fill out the form at school (before school). To access the Online Practice Journal in the future, Click on the “Online Practice Journal” link on the toolbar above. There, you will find the link to the OPJ, the EE book Goal Sheets for books 1, 2, and 3, and the weekly “What to Practice” sheet. We will begin to implement this for the practice record due October 21st.
